Reflecting Thales’s commitment to environmental issues, the Environment Department now reports to the SVP, Operations, a member of the Executive Committee. As part of its efforts to continuously improve its environmental performance and ensure effective mitigation of risks, the Group has implemented a twotier organisation:

• a corporate environmental team responsible for formulating strategy, policy and processes and overseeing their implementation across the Group
• a global network of environmental managers responsible for implementing Group policy at region, country and site level.

The group is driving a strong policy in order to reduce its emission and nuisance generated by its activities by analysing their impacts and risks on man and environment.

Thanks to its continuous improvment system, the Group has regularly reached its ambitious objectives of energy savings, reduction of CO₂ emissions and waste.
